Everytime I am down, I rewatch his video. This time I really like his song and music video. The theme is about nature. Yes, nature does teach us. Yes, nature does heal us.

Learn to find myself. That is a word that I want to give to you my dear friend. I am sad because you said that you are lost now. You do not know what you do and  you do not know where you have to go. You lost yourself. You blame God because God give you such a hard time with your family problem, your sickness and times when you loose your boyfriend. But every time I want to reach you, you already give a stop sign in your face. You said that I am not have a hard time. I did not walk on hard path as rocky as yours. Yes I am not. I am not because I am trying hard to find who am I. What is my goal, what goal should I reach at the end of my life.

You blame God. You stop your medicine because you think that you have unfair life. A glass of alcohol and smoke always be a friend of yours. You think with alcohol and smoke, you will loose your problem. No, it was not. You just runaway from problem, running away from solving it.

Dont be like that my bestie. I already known you since many years ago. Such a shame of me because I can not to give you any solution. I want to reach you in my way, I thought you will hush me since you said that I am a saint. I am not a saint but I am not a sinner either.

I want to talk to you, reach you and say to find who you are. Why you are born in this world. What is the purpose of your life. Without knowing yourself, knowing your God, life has no meaning. You just find yourself stuck in the middle of hedonism.

It is easy for me to write, it is not easy for me to talk head to head. I guess I find myself afraid to loose you. You are stubborn so am I. CLOUDY DAYS

It’s been cloudy day for almost all week and it starts to change my mood into moody. Gloomy for all weeks and I couldn’t concentrate for my work. I don’t know why (sobs).

Today, the first day of 2014, been a gloomy day too for me. The sun still hiding behind clouds, no sign of bright happy sunshine (somehow I miss the sun).

It’s a New Year! 2014!

Wow.. new year has come! Today is January 1st of 2014 and somehow I don’t feel differences between this day and another days T.T. How about you? Are you gaining new spirit for this happy year? what fans can do for environment

Being a fans not always have a negative meaning.  Look some fans of U2  who are supporting antiproverty campaign and Korean fans such as 2NE1’s fans who donated 1.210 mango trees for people in Africa or Shinhwa Changjo (SHCJ), fans of Shinhwa, who creating two forests in name of Shinhwa.  Not only one forest but two forest. Tree Planet, an organisation who help SHCJ dreams come true, says that these two forests are eternal gift fans can give to their idol. This eternal gift were given to celebrate Shinhwa 15th anniversary. These forests composed of six different kind of trees, and it become home for many wild animal such as insects, birds, lizard etc.

It is not only gift for the idol group, but also a gift to these environment. Nowadays,  world is getting hotter and hotter. The quality of environment getting lower and lower. Some causes are caused by human activity such as over used water, factory’s activity and so on. It leads to global warming that make the world hotter. Global warming is one of many factors which is causing unpredictable weather. It leads to la nina (long rainy season) or el nino (prolonged drought).  As the result, it affects human activity such agricultural practice,  fishing activity. In Africa, prolonged drought has led many people dying because of thirst and hunger. Trees won’t grow, livestock animal are die. So as a human, as a fans, as a child, as a parent, what can you give to change this environment?  A small step may lead to a big change that lead for a better future. An expert said “only good human who can make quality of environment better and only a good environment that can make human grow in optimum level.”

That is an old quote from Indian. It has many deep meanings, only if we concern about it. Nowadays peoples tend to over-exploit natural resources to dig a lot of money. They are forget that natural resources are limited and took very long time to resilient and never be the same as before. They forget that nature who gives us life. Many people fight to get clean water, almost all the people want to have fresh air, now some people who care about the world are still campaigning people come back to nature. In many countries, government and people use a lot of money in researching ways to make the earth as good as before. They want to live in a green world with fresh air and clean water. But nowadays we cannot get fresh air and clean water freely. It has a high cost to get it. Why? Because there are rarely fresh air and clean water, almost all part of the world are shadowed by pollution. Industry, transportation, building, domestic waste, etc. are contributing make pollution higher. People are busy making money and forget what they are doing are hurting nature. Day by day nature condition decreased. Until there is no clean air for human to breathing and there is no clean water to drink, people realise that we cannot eat money, we cannot drink money, and we cannot breath with money. Good nature costs bigger than money we earn by damaging nature. Maybe some of us have not recognised it yet. But someday you will.
Stop harassing nature! Make a better living, make a better future. Because we are people have power to make the nature better or worse. Let use our power to make the world greener to live in.

Alligator Fish

Several years ago my father bought an alligator fish home. He said it was from his big brother. The fish is only 30 centimeter yet in the next year it was not grow any longer in our little pond. For a girl like me the fish is not adorable, it scared me. It’s ugly and alligator look alike. But my father insisted to keep it in our little pond. He even bought another one to our pond, this time it was bigger (size 60 centimeter). OMG!!

But the fish is intriguing me to do a little search about this fish to understand this fish more. Here are some facts about alligator fish.

1. Alligator Gar (“Gator Gar”), Atractosteus spatula, is a primitive ray-finned fish.
2. Dark olivaceous brown above and white to yellowish beneath (individuals in aquaria may be nearly black dorsally).
3. Unlike other Gars, the mature Alligator Gar possesses a dual row of large teeth in the upper jaw. Its name derives from the alligator-like appearance of these teeth along with the fish’s elongated snout.
4. The Alligator Gar is a relatively passive, solitary fish that lives in fresh and brackish water bodies in the Southern United States.
5. Though the Alligator Gar prefers slow-moving waters of rivers, bayous, and oxbows throughout most of the year, it appears to need spring time inundated floodplain fields or wetland vegetation in order to spawn.
6. Their eggs are very poisonous
7.  It is carnivorous and feeds by lurking amongst reeds and other vegetation, ambushing prey.Alligator gar has often been suspected in attacks on humans, but none of these attacks have been officially confirmed to be the work of this species.
8. 8.       The largest Alligator Gar found in North America, measuring 8 to 10 feet (2.4 to 3.0 m) and weighing at least 200 lb (91 kg) at maturity. The fish is believed to have been between 50 and 70 years old.

This fish is not an aggressive animal, but we have to be careful of their existence because they are carnivore. Especially for those who like to swim in the river or lake. Because the fish become aggresive when they are hungry. Here is the story of Alligator fish that attacked human (unconfirmed).

Attacks on humans have not been confirmed.  However, one credible account was described by an old fisherman from the Rio Grande Valley.  As a young boy, he and his brother were swimming in a deep, slack water area of the Rio Grande near a makeshift dock.  While swimming, he felt something grasp and scrap his leg.  Feeling pain, he turned and swum toward the dock.  Halfway to the dock, he felt something attempt to grasp and then scrap his bare chest.  He immediately grabbed for the attacker, feeling the mouth and head of a gar.  After reaching the dock, he called for his brother to get out of the water.  By this time his leg and chest were superficially scraped and bleeding although the gar’s teeth did not penetrate the dermis layer of his skin.  He and his brother waited for a few minutes on the dock and visually confirmed the presence of an alligator gar in the immediate vicinity of the attack.

Abundance/Conservation status (Federal, State, Non-governmental organizations)

Listed as Vulnerable by the American Fisheries Society; categories of threats: present or threatened destruction, modification, or reduction of habitat or range; and over-exploitation for commercial, recreational, scientific, or educational purposes including intentional eradication or indirect impacts of fishing (Jelks et al. 2008). Vulnerable in southern US (Warren et al. 2000).  Some states are listing alligator gar as a game fish to regulate harvest. Species appears to be declining in the upstream segment of the lower Rio Grande (Edwards and Contreras-Balderas 1991).

Despite the origins in North America, this fish have been found in several countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkmenistan, Singapore and Japan. How they could be found in Asia? Some of them are taken along by major flood, and some of them were illegally transferred by American.

Nowadays there are people who like to pet them, and several organization take them for educational and exhibition purpose.

Oh ya.. another thing about this fish is the fish don’t like clean water. So if the condition of water is new and clean, the fish will not eat their food. They will be like fasting until the water is dirtier.

Flower of December

My grandmother told me first about this flower. She said it is flower of December. Why? Because it usually blossoms on December, but nowadays the flower sometimes blossom on November or even January. The blossom time is influenced by many factor, one of it is climate change.
The latin name of this flower is Scadoxus multiflorus or people named it African Blood Lily. The flower well grown on rich, moist, and well-drained soil but will grow in sandy, poor soil and fairly dry conditions. The flower need full sun, but it can also grow in the condition of dappled shade. We can plant African blood lily on the ground or on the pot. No need to watering this plant frequently, once a day is enough.
According to my experience, the flower only blossom once a year for a month or more. Then the flower will scale off, the leaves will also follow the flower, only the root still remain. When the rainy season is coming, the leaves will grow. And the plant will serve you the beauty of African Blood Lily flower. ^^
