Surah Al-baqarah (2) :30
And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, “Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority.” They said, “Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?” Allah said, “Indeed, I know that which you do not know.”
On these days a lot of disaster happen, whether it was human mistake or done by nature itself. But mostly it happen because of human activity. What the angels worried, happen.
So, why God determines man as leader while the man create so much damage. God answers: “Indeed, I know that which you do not know.”
There is a meaning behind this verse, it contained the duty of man on earth. For those who understand this meaning, they will live wisely and prudently.
Human role on earth is to keep the balance of the relationship between man and nature. Why? because we live depend on each other.
If one party is damaged then it will affect the other. But the man is greedy, nature is over exploited. As the result, nature were angry and disasters are everywhere.
Humans are destructive, but on the other hand human are also improving. With wisdom and knowledge, human can bring earth for the better future
